Brake issues...

accumulator is not a bad job to replace.
To make it easier you need a thin wall 1/4 socket withy a T30 torex bit, and 1/4drive socket handle with a 3 inch extension.
You need to depressurize the brakes by stepping on brake peddle a # times with car off.
On bottom of accumulator there are 2 T30 screws. Remove both, and there is just enough room to do that with the socket and T30 bit with the 3inch extension. Be sure to use a thin wall socket to get bit in straight, as if you do not go in straight you can strip the screw opening and then it is a job.I took the socket I had and with a grinder made it a thin wall socket.
Once the 2 screws are out just swap the replacement in . I did mine a while back and it took less than 1/2 hour. No need to bleed system as well.
yes to both your questions, we carry ones ready to go...
Can the brake accumulator be rebuilt and recharged?
Yes we it all, I will email you
do you have one of those kick'n around?
Brian, you need a abs Brake accumulator. its the silver round thing on the left side of the master cylinder.
I have an 89. The brake light is off when driving however when I touch the brake petal the brake light comes on, I hear and feel a click, and I get an ABS system disabled message but if I keep the petal pressed then warning light goes out and message states that ABS is OK.
Where do I start?
