Install of heavy strut tower to tower brace

AFTER SEEING ON EBAY I PURCHASED AND INSTALLED THE HEAVY BRACE TO HELP STOP COWL SHAKE. IT REPLACES THE STANDARD SMALL ONE THAT IS BOLTED FROM STRUT TOWER TO STRUT TOWER. YOU MUST MAKE SURE IT IS THE CORRECT LENGHT BECAUSE DIFFERENT CARS/MODELS USE DIFFERENT ONES. I BELIEVE THE ONE FOR ALLANTE ALSO FITS 93 ELDO. I HAD TO HAVE 2 OF THE EARS WHERE BOLTS FASTENED TO TOWER SHAVED SO AS NOT TO DAMAGE SURROUND ON TOP WHEN CRANKED DOWN AND HAD TO LOP OFF THE OLD BOLT ON EACH SIDE SO THE NEW BRACKET WOULD FIT DOWN FLUSH. OTHERWISE IT HIT UNDER THE NEW BRACKET WHEN SET DOWN INTO POSITION. SEEMS TO BE A LITTLE BETTER BUT NOT WAY NOTICIBLE. THIS BRACE ONLY CAME ON A FEW ALLANTES STOCK. I GUESS CADILLAC MUST HAVE LOOKED AT THE COST FACTOR AND WENT WITH THE SMALLER ONE. DRAW BACK IS ONCE YOU LOP OFF THE ORIGINAL BOLT YOU CAN NOT GO BACK TO THE ORIGINAL SMALLER BRACKET. SO FOR THOSE BEING JUDGED YOU MIGHT WANT TO KEEP THAT IN MIND. THE ONLY WAY TO KEEP THE ORIGINAL BOLT IS TO HAVE A HOLE DRILLED IN THE END PIECE WHERE IT IS AND LET IT STICK THROUGH THE NEW BRACKET.
