My J hook has some how got out of alignment on soft top,latch will grab the J hook but releases it as it is pulling down/closing,as this is the first time I have had this problem any suggestions on how to tackle it?

Thank You John Monzo for the help in getting the pull motor realigned as the back of the soft top is closing again. It took a little time and I would of never figured it out for myself.

If you could summarize this fix, I'd be obliged; having the exact same issue, I know the motor works, but I observe one of three conditions when engaging the pull-down--

1. Pull-down motor functions normally.

2. Pull-down motor cycles two or more times, either not engaging at all, or occasionally engaging.

3. Nothing happens.

It's totally unclear to me what's going on.
