HomeAllante Repair Tour

Welcome to the Cadillac Allante Repair tour page.

Next Tour, Dates to be Announced for August 2024

What is a Cadillac Allante repair tour?

This is where I pack up my Van and Trailer with all necessary tools and parts and drive to your home or any location your Allante will be that needs service. In some cases, some owners open their home or garages and have an Allante work party. This is very educational for the owners to see first hand how to repair your own Allanté.

How far do I travel to do such repairs?

To date, we have been doing this tour since 2015.  We have traveled from Sewell NJ to Marco Island Florida, Nj to Milwaukee WI and Nj to Road Island and up to Rochester NY across to Ohio. We almost made it to Kansas City, but covid hit.

What if I live too far to travel too?

If you’re like a lot of our members who live out of our traveling area, I’m still here to help. As a member, you have me 24/7. If you have a problem, call me, and I’ll try to walk you through how to fix it. If you need parts, we will mail them to you. If you’re not mechanical inclined, all you need to do is give your mechanic my number and I’ll try my best to walk him through it.

Why do I go to these destinations?

Almost all these times, someone is holding an Allante XLR show. Florida has their annual scratch and dent show in January, The Allante XLR Invitational is held every August, and when the Cadillac LaSalle Club has their Grand National Except when its way too far, I’m there.

Why do I do it?

If you know me, you will understand why.  Yes, I do make money but my love for this marquee is so great that I want to keep as many on the road as possible. I started repairing Alante’s in 1999 at my home when I bought my first 1989 and still have it. Then I started the Cadillac Allante club in 2004 and 5 years prior, I became a sub chapter of the Allante Owners Association and the Allante Appreciation Group. I also help ran the AAG for 3 years to help the club’s owners while they were recuperating. My main goal was and still is to hold large Allante XLR gatherings. There is a saying, “if you build it, they will come”. So true, but they need to be maintained to get there.

How to get on the repair list

If you’re a member of the Cadillac Allante Club, you will be the first to know. I send out emails to let all owners know I’m getting ready to start the tour. All you need to do is make sure your membership is paid up and all your information is correct. There has been times some info was taking wrong and I had to go by you. If your info is up to date on the club page, there no reason to miss you.

  1. Once you are aware were doing a tour that may be in your area, you need to email me a list of what you would like to have done to your Allanté.
  2. Include all you information. Name, address, email address, cell number in the email.
  3. Also important, all you Allanté information. Year, color in and out in the email.
  4. As it gets closer to the date, I will send you out an email on prices and times you should expect us there.
  5. Added to the bill will be a necessary service and travel charge.
  6. These dates can vary depending on how many owners need our services.
  7. There have been times we were late a day or early, we will try to call you as soon as we know.
  8. We will try to repair anything you have unless if it involves fluids or lifting the car. Just ask?
