Dear Allante XLR Owners, before you read this, keep in mind you do not have to be a member of this club to participate in this Allante XLR National event (but it would be nice) you don’t even have to bring or own an Allante XLR. It’s open to all family and friends. It’s ok if you can’t make the whole event, just make what you can. See you all Soon!
The Allante XLR Nationals / Vacation is now ready to book. By now you should all be aware we will be holding it in Portland Maine. The host hotel will be the Clarion Portland Maine. https://www.choicehotels.com/maine/portland/clarion-hotels/me061?source=gyxt which is the only hotel that is offering free parking for our babies. Because Portland won the Foodie Capitol of the country last year, the hotels prices skyrocketed to over $300.00 a night. But I found and negotiated with one hotel for a nice, normal rate of $129.00 to $179.00 (including breakfast). Now please keep in mind you will only have 30 day before the event to book and get that rate. You can cancel up until 6pm the day of the event before you are charged. So knowing this, there should be no reason you should not pick up the phone and call the hotel today! The number is 207-774-5611 and when you call tell them you are with the Cadillac Allante club to get our negotiated rate.
Here is the itinerary for the event. On Wednesday, September 4th, we will leave Turnersville NJ at 10:00 AM to drive to the Cod Cove Inn https://codcoveinn.com located in Edgecomd Maine. We will pick up other Allantés on the way. Around 7pm, we will stop for dinner at the “Taste of Maine” restaurant located 15 minutes from the Cod Cape Inn hotel. After dinner we will drive to the hotel for our overnight stay. After breakfast on Thursday, September 5thwe will have the option to see 1 or all 3 of these sites:

- Fawcett’s toy Museum https://maineantiquetoymuseum.com/
On the way back, there are a few other places of interest:
- Main State Prison
- Busted Knuckle / Harley Davison mechanic

- L.L. Bean Headquarters Twisted Iron Customs / Custom Junkyard
- Garmin / Eartha is the world's largest rotating and revolving globe
This is a lot to pack in just 2 days, so let’s do our best. You can also leave Monday or Tuesday and well meet you there.
Then it’s all systems go to the Clarion Hotel. Dinner Thursday evening will be on our own. Most likely from the drive and unpacking, most will just go to the bar and restaurant in the hotel. Friday, September 6th morning, we will board the Duck Bus which holds 36 people. So the first 36 who book the bus are in. As it gets closer we will have places identified for lunch and dinner.
After breakfast on Saturday, September 7th, , it’s CAR SHOW TIME. You will be instructed as to where we will line up to show off our babies. Each of you will receive a voting sheet to pick your favorite cars, and you will still have time to enjoy your day at the location picked. Once again, lunch is on our own. Saturday evening, in the hotel banquet room, we will have our sit down dinner and our awards presentation throughout the night. It’s always a fun night!
After Breakfast and our long loving goodbyes on Sunday, September 8th we will start the journey home. For those of you that are driving south and wish to keep it going may I suggest a stop at Mohican Sun casino for a few hours or even an overnight stay. It’s almost the half way point.

I really can’t wait for this year’s Event. Last year’s event in Michigan my hands were tied and the year before in Savannah was outstanding with 57Allantes, but I was sick as a dog and it’s all a blur to me.
